I made it! :D

So yea, Region Band Auditions were today and I made the cut. I'm really proud of myself because I worked quite hard for this and it would've sucked if I had done all of the work I did for nothing.

I got to the school at around 7:15am and saw other people from my school there. We talked and stuff until it was time to go to our rooms at around 8:00am. Since it took a while for all of the signing-in to take place, the flute auditions didn't start until around 9:00 (I think). There were some pretty decent players in my room and I played pretty well. On the first etude I messed up quite a bit, but on the other ones I wasn't as nervous so I played those pretty fine. The audition was over at around 12:30pm and my friend and I headed down to the cafeteria to wait for the results.

About 30 minutes later my friend and I saw the good news. We both made it! In our room she made 2nd and I made 7th and we advanced to the second round where all of that fancy chair seating would take place. In the second round, I didn't really care too much how I played since I already made it so I did kind of bad in the audition. In the end, I made last chair. It doesn't matter to me though since I've already accomplished my goal of making Region Band.

Nothing really happened to me as far as love drama is concerned. Maybe it's because I didn't really see anyone from school today.

Today in band class there was a substitute. (More specifically, the head band director wasn't there and the assistant hates the head director quite a bit so we just didn't do anything music related). So, for the first 20 or so minutes of class I was practicing for the Region Band auditions coming up tomorrow. I got tired of it since I practiced for pretty much all of lunch so I spent the remainder of the class period talking with friends. Sitting near me was a friend of mine that was doing some sort of palm reading (to Tren by the way) and I went over to investigate and at least try to engage in some conversation with him. To me, it seemed like right when I got over there and started asking what she was doing he just got up and went somewhere else. It seemed like he went away because of me. Although, there is one thing that disproves that. She was done reading his palm around the same time as I came over. Surprisingly, I wasn't really hurt by his action. I guess I already have this mindset that he hates me because I like him. It sucks, really. Although, as much as I hate to say it, Lain does a pretty good job of filling in that void I have. Funny thing is, with every day that is passing I have the idea that Lain doesn't like me. I'm not really disappointed about this in way that I won't have a potential boyfriend. It's more of a pride issue since I've told 2 or 3 people about this. If he doesn't ask me out, then at least I'll have a really good friend to hang with and such. We seem to be growing closer to each other.

Region Band Auditions are tomorrow. I have to leave the house at like 6am since the school where the auditions are held is pretty far away. I hope I don't get too nervous and mess up really badly because I /really/ want to make it. It would be a little disappointing if I didn't make it since I prepared (in my eyes) a lot for this. Anyway, wish me luck!
