Bats?! In MY High School?!
Yep, it's official. There are bats living in my high school. In the morning before 1st period began a bat was seen flying around in the hallway. Because of that, we were on lockdown (we couldn't leave the classroom) because they were trying to catch it. I'm guessing they caught it since we could leave 1st period at the appropriate time, but something tells me that there are more bats in the school. I'm hearing that there's a colony of them living in the library. I don't think anyone was harmed, but a teacher and a student made contact with the bat so they're being tested for rabies. The teacher that touched the bat was (of all things) a biology teacher. I'm not sure who the student was yet. The word hasn't gotten to me yet. Oh, I forgot to mention, we got on the news for this little bat incident too. It was interesting to watch it on the local news. It's sad how the students the reporters pick are always the dumb ones.

After school I had sectionals. After sectionals were over I was in the band hall pretty much alone (with the exception of the oboe player and the assistant director). I got really bored so I decided to go in the instrument storage room and poke through people's stuff. I came across Lain's band binder and was shocked to find it so neat and organized. For some reason he came across as a messy person to me. Anyway, his binder put mine to shame. My music is mainly in the pocket, and I have a lot of random papers in the pocket also. I only have a couple of the pieces we're playing in the page protectors like we're supposed to. His, on the other hand, had no extra paper whatsoever. Pretty much all of his music was in the page protectors, and he had the required pencil bag with two pencils and a highlighter in it (which I don't have). It gave me inspriation to tidy up my own binder. I'm too lazy though. :p

I'm off to finish Hamlet or study for Chinese or study for Algebra 2. Ugh, so much to do.

"Woah."
Today was a pretty good day. I'm really starting to think that Lain doesn't care anymore that I like him. Here's why. Today I was on my way to 2nd period and I was walkstudying (studying while walking) and I happened to pass by Lain. He was talking with a friend and I walked past them and Lain pushed me (like he would before I asked him out/whatevershit). Of course, I pushed him back like the I would in the good ol' days. So yea, I'm awesome, he's awesome, we're all awesome.

Apparently, there was a bat in the school during 5th period. They extended the period to try to get it out. As usual, the school administration didn't tell us anything about it. They just said over the intercom that they would be extending the period and that the 2nd floor rooms should lock their doors. Even though I was on the 1st floor, my physics teacher went ahead and locked the doors anyway. I guess she thought a shooter was lurking around or something.

There was a playing exam during band class today. We had to play a certain section of the song for a pass/fail grade in front of the class. We went in backwards staff order (Tubas --> Flute) so, thinking that we weren't going to go, I used the period as nap time. I did hear some of the performances (including Lain's). He did good. He practiced. I hope I don't mess up tomorrow when I go.

I'm starting to hoard desktop wallpaper. It's becoming an addiction. :<
