Bayou City Art Festival
After my SAT prep class I had to volunteer at the Bayou City Art Festival for GNHS. I got there kinda late because my SAT class ended at the same time the volunteer shift started, so I didn't have a job until 2:30 because all of the spots were filled up. In between when I got there (around 1) and 2:30 I just walked around and looked at all of the art. Some of it was pretty interesting. I really liked the photography they had there. A lot of the photography there had really profound meanings you could draw out of it. There were also some interesting paintings. One artist could paint so well that from far away it looked like a photograph. I was astounded at the realism in his paintings. I stayed in that booth for so long just staring at his works. <_< 2:30 came along, and I was assigned to take ticket stubs at the front. It was kinda fun although a little hard since the people were moving kinda quickly, and I couldn't tell where to tear. I tore the wrong part of the ticket several times. I met some pretty cool people while volunteering too. This guy named CJ was there taking tickets too. He had community service duty since he was caught graffiting (woah, that's a word) and ran from the police. We were done taking tickets around 3:30 since more volunteers came to take our place, so we just walked around the festival some more until my mom came. It was pretty fun.
