Yep, it's official. There are bats living in my high school. In the morning before 1st period began a bat was seen flying around in the hallway. Because of that, we were on lockdown (we couldn't leave the classroom) because they were trying to catch it. I'm guessing they caught it since we could leave 1st period at the appropriate time, but something tells me that there are more bats in the school. I'm hearing that there's a colony of them living in the library. I don't think anyone was harmed, but a teacher and a student made contact with the bat so they're being tested for rabies. The teacher that touched the bat was (of all things) a biology teacher. I'm not sure who the student was yet. The word hasn't gotten to me yet. Oh, I forgot to mention, we got on the news for this little bat incident too. It was interesting to watch it on the local news. It's sad how the students the reporters pick are always the dumb ones.
After school I had sectionals. After sectionals were over I was in the band hall pretty much alone (with the exception of the oboe player and the assistant director). I got really bored so I decided to go in the instrument storage room and poke through people's stuff. I came across Lain's band binder and was shocked to find it so neat and organized. For some reason he came across as a messy person to me. Anyway, his binder put mine to shame. My music is mainly in the pocket, and I have a lot of random papers in the pocket also. I only have a couple of the pieces we're playing in the page protectors like we're supposed to. His, on the other hand, had no extra paper whatsoever. Pretty much all of his music was in the page protectors, and he had the required pencil bag with two pencils and a highlighter in it (which I don't have). It gave me inspriation to tidy up my own binder. I'm too lazy though. :p
I'm off to finish Hamlet or study for Chinese or study for Algebra 2. Ugh, so much to do.
